Can I set a time limit for each player selection?
Yes, via the Commissioner→Manage League→Live Draft→Setup page a Commissioner can elect to impose a time limit on the draft selections. We recommend no less than 2 minutes between picks as this allows time for individual computer screens to refresh.
There are 3 options available if an owner does not make a selection in the allotted time:
Try not to allow ANY team to be skipped.
By default, the users will have their picks set to Fail-Safe auto-pick mode. They will not be able to turn off auto-pick, but they could change to Instant if they choose. Refer to the following FAQ
entry for more information on the auto-pick options: Do you have an auto draft capability?
Users will be able to set their own positional draft limits OR use the limits defined by their roster composition. In addition, users can choose to have the system attempt to fill out the user's starting lineup first before selecting bench players. Refer to the following FAQ
entry for more information on setting user-defined draft limits: What is an auto draft list?
If time expires (in fail-safe mode) or, if in instant auto-pick mode, the system will first try to select a player from the user’s cheatsheet in the order defined by the user. If the cheatsheet does not exist or a player cannot be selected from it, the system will then fall back to the RTSports Draft Guide rankings to make a selection.
There exist some scenarios where the user could still be skipped.
The user is at their roster limit.
The user defined their own positional draft limits and the total max selection limit is less than the roster size.
Salary cap leagues only. The user is at their salary cap limit. In this case the user will be skipped until the next successful selection in the draft.
